Ark International English School

You can find us in Village-Chora, which is part of Adityapur in the Saraikela area. We are located near the Majar Dargah, so most people use that as a landmark to find the school. The school started because there weren't many English medium options right here in the village. It's a simple setup, nothing too grand, just a bunch of rooms where kids from the neighborhood come to study. Since we are near the Dargah, it’s usually quite peaceful, except for when the kids are running around during their recess. The building has been added to over time as more families started sending their children to us. We have some trees in the yard that provide a bit of shade when it gets hot in the afternoons. The teachers here are mostly from the local area or nearby towns, so they understand the kids well. We teach the subjects in English, but of course, people speak the local languages during the breaks. It’s a mix of different backgrounds coming together in one spot. Sometimes the power goes out, and we just open the windows wider to let the light in. We don’t have fancy air conditioning or big sports fields, but the children seem to manage just fine with what’s available. It’s a practical place for learning, tucked away in Chora where it’s a bit quieter than the main city centers. We just try to get through the books and make sure everyone understands the day's lesson.
