Aakriti Architects

Aakriti Architects is located at 19 B, Tulsi Bhawan in Bistupur. It is an old building that has seen a lot of history over the decades. We’ve been in this space for a good while, and the walls are covered with sketches and notes from projects we finished years ago. Bistupur is a busy part of town, so there is always something happening outside the window. You can hear the cars and the people talking on the sidewalk clearly. Our office is a bit cramped because we have so many files and models sitting around on every surface. We don't really have a receptionist or anyone to greet you. Usually, if the door is open, you just walk right in. I spend most of my time at the drafting table or out on construction sites checking on how things are going. The furniture here is mismatched, and the floor squeaks in a few places when you walk near the back. It has got character, I guess. We try to keep things simple here. No one wears a suit or acts formal. We are usually covered in a bit of dust or have pencil lead on our hands. Tulsi Bhawan is easy to find if you know the area well. We’ve got some regular clients who come by for tea and a chat about their houses. It is not a high-pressure environment. We just work through the projects as they come to us. We are just local people.
