You can find us up in Yama Tower on MG Marg in Gangtok. If you know the area, you know it gets quite crowded with tourists and locals alike. We are Worthy Contractors & Associates, and we have been working out of East Sikkim for some time. Being in the hills makes the work a bit different than on the plains. You have to think about the terrain and the rain quite a bit. Our office is a quiet space where we sit down and figure out the logistics for our various contracting jobs. It’s not a large operation, just a handful of us who know how to get things built in this climate. We handle various building tasks around town and the surrounding hills. Sometimes the roads are blocked or the weather turns bad, and we just have to wait it out. That is part of life in Sikkim. We don't do much talking about ourselves; we just show up and do the work that needs doing. MG Marg is a good central spot for us to keep an eye on things. Most of our tools and equipment are kept at the site sheds, so the office stays fairly clean compared to the actual work zones. We deal with the local authorities and handle the supplies coming up the hills. It is steady work and we just keep our heads down until the job is done.
