Louis Berger Group

You can find Louis Berger Group up on the 5th floor of Yakthung House. We are situated in Tadong, which is in the East Sikkim district. The view from the windows is actually quite nice when the clouds aren't too low, though we spend most of our time looking at reports and maps. Being in Sikkim means the weather dictates a lot of what we do. When the monsoon hits, the roads can be tricky, but we still make it into the office. We are a small team here handling various consultancy and management tasks for projects in the region. The building itself is usually quiet, which helps when we have to concentrate on complex figures. We don't have a big corporate lobby or anything. It's just a regular office space with a few desks and a lot of filing folders. People often get a bit winded climbing up if they don't use the lift. We’ve been based in Tadong for some time and have gotten to know the local shops and tea stalls around the area. It’s a different pace of life compared to the plains, but we like the environment. We just go about our business, attending meetings and making sure the project details are sorted out. It’s mostly technical work and staying on top of the local requirements for the different sites we manage around the district.
