Up here in Gangtok, East Sikkim, you can find our Hdfc Bankric spot. We are located right by the Police Family Quater, near Church Road, 737101. Being in Gangtok means we deal with a lot of hills and sometimes the weather can be a bit unpredictable with the clouds coming right into the streets. Our office is in a quiet area because of the police quarters nearby, so it’s not as chaotic as the main market might be. We have a small team here and we mostly handle the specific needs of the people living around Church Road and the government housing. It’s a very local feel. We see the same people every day and we talk about the weather or the local news while we handle their banking. It’s not a high-tech corporate hub; it’s more of a community office where things are done with a bit of a personal touch. We have a lot of paperwork to keep track of, and sometimes the electricity goes out when it rains too hard, but we just wait it out and get back to work. There is no corporate polish here, just a group of people doing their jobs in a beautiful part of the world. We stay busy with the files and the ledger books, making sure everything is correct. It’s just a normal day for us here in East Sikkim, and we like the steady pace of it all.
