Umang Karodi Fish Breeding Private Limited

This is a family-run kind of setup in Devshri Colony, right near Lal Chouki in Khandwa. Sangeeta Bai Karod started things off here and we just keep it going. Breeding fish is a slow process and you have to pay attention to the water and the tanks every single day. There is not really a day off because the fish do not know it is Sunday. Our place is not big or high-tech. We mostly spend our time checking the ponds and making sure everything is running right. The humidity in Khandwa can be a bit much in the summer, which makes the work even sweatier. People call us Umang Karodi Fish Breeding, but it is mostly just us working in the back. We are not trying to be some huge corporation. We just want to make sure the fingerlings are healthy before they go out to other farms. Sometimes we have issues with the water pumps or the feed delivery gets delayed, and we just have to figure it out on the fly. It is a lot of manual labor, carrying buckets and cleaning out tanks. We do not have a marketing team or anything like that. We just focus on the breeding work and hope the weather stays good for the fish. It is quiet work for the most part, except when we are moving stock around. That is our life here at the colony, just keeping the tanks full and the fish growing.
