Down here in Bajaberia, things move at their own pace. We are Simplex Infrastructures Limited, tucked away near Srikrishnapur in the Purba Medinipur area. If you’re coming from Math Chandipur, you’ve probably seen our site off the main road. It’s a busy place most mornings. We focus on getting the heavy work finished. There’s always a lot of dust and noise, which is pretty standard for a setup like this. We have a lot of local workers who come in from the surrounding villages in Bhagwanpur. The yard stays packed with pipes, rebar, and trucks coming in and out all day long. It gets pretty loud when the machinery starts up, but that means things are moving forward. We aren't big on meetings or long emails; we mostly just talk to each other out in the field to figure out what needs doing. Sometimes the weather in West Bengal makes the work tough, especially when it pours, but we keep the site running. We’ve been here in this spot for quite some time now. Everyone knows where the gate is. It's a simple operation, really. We don't have a lot of bells and whistles. We just focus on the task at hand and try to stay on schedule. Most of us have lived around here our whole lives, so we know the area well. It's just a regular workplace where people work hard and go home when the sun sets, hopefully after getting a good day's work in.
