Prafs Engineering

Prafs Engineering is located out in the village area of Balighai, within the Egra police station limits of Purba Midnapur. It is a quiet place compared to the big cities, but we stay busy enough with the local work that comes our way. Our workshop is a sturdy structure that has survived many monsoon seasons. The road leading up to us can get a bit muddy when the rains are heavy, but that is just part of living in the district. We focus on mechanical repairs and small-scale engineering tasks for the farmers and small businesses nearby. You can usually hear the sound of the lathe running from down the lane. We don't have a big marketing budget or a shiny office. There is just a bench for customers to sit on and a few cupboards for our tools. We know most of our clients by their first names because they have been coming to us for years. Sometimes we sit outside under the shade of the trees when the power goes out, which happens more often than we would like. It gives us time to talk to the people passing by on their way to the post office. We take things one day at a time, making sure the welds are strong and the dimensions are right. It is honest, hard work that keeps us connected to the community here in Balighai. We like the pace of life here, even if things get a bit dusty in the summer.
