Madras Cements Ltd

Out here in Kolaghat, specifically in Bharisha Village, we run the Madras Cements Ltd operations from the Dey Automobiles site. It is in the Purba Midnipur District of West Bengal, and the pin is 721134. It's a long way from the headquarters, but we do our part. The location is convenient for the transport routes, which is why we are based here. It's a bit of a mix, having the cement business alongside the automobile area, but we make it work. The yard is usually full of different vehicles and stacks of heavy bags. We have a small corner office where we keep the ledger books and answer the phone. It's often humid, and when the rain comes during the monsoon, we have to be really quick to cover everything up with the heavy tarps. We don't have a lot of staff, so everyone chips in with whatever needs doing, whether it's counting the stock or helping a driver find his way. We speak a bit of a mix of languages here to get the point across to everyone. It isn't a polished corporate office with glass walls; it's a working site with oil on the ground and dust in the air. We just focus on getting the orders out to the local builders without making a big fuss about it. The day usually starts early and ends when the last truck leaves the gate for the night.
