Internationalseaport(Haldia) Pvt. Ltd.

We sit here in Durgachak, right in the Rehabilitation Colony at Block G. It is a busy part of Haldia. Most of the time it is just us dealing with the ships and the trucks coming through the port area. Internationalseaport(Haldia) Pvt. Ltd. has been at this Plot No. 10 spot for a while now. The office isn't fancy, just a place where we get the work done. You can see the dust from the road sometimes. It gets hot in East Midnapore, especially in the afternoons when the fans are spinning fast. We handle a lot of paperwork. Every day there is something new with the cargo or the weather. People walk in and out, asking about schedules. We try to keep things moving. It is a long walk from the main gate sometimes. The post office is nearby at Durgachak so we are always sending out documents. Life here is mostly about the port. We don't have big meetings with fancy slides. It is just phone calls and checking the logs. Sometimes the internet is slow, but we manage. Most of us have been here long enough to know the regular drivers by name. We just do our bit to make sure the containers get where they need to go. It is practical work. Nothing more to it really. We are just here in Plot 10 doing the daily grind. It's a living.
