Das Traders

Das Traders is one of the shops located inside Annapurna Market. We are in the Gourangachak post office area, under the Mayna police station, right here in the Purba Midnapur district. Being in a market like Annapurna means there is always a lot of chatter and people moving around. It is a busy environment and we have been a part of it for a good many years. We do not have a lot of space, but we make the most of what we have. It is a bit of a squeeze sometimes when we have a lot of stock, but we manage to keep it organized enough to find things. We do not use any fancy management techniques; we just remember where things are and what needs to be done next. Running a business in a local market like this is mostly about being there every day and talking to whoever comes by. We have seen many other shops come and go, but we have managed to stay consistent. Purba Midnapur has a lot of these small hubs, and we are happy to be in this one. We do not go in for big advertisements or anything like that. Word of mouth usually does the job for us. We just keep our heads down and work through the day. Sometimes the market gets very crowded during festival times, and those are our busiest days. It is a lot of manual work, but it is what we know.
