Our place is at Chokhani Niwas in Paltan Bazar. It’s right across from the Arya Vidhyalaya School. If you know that school, you know where we are. Paltan Bazar is always crowded and noisy, which is just part of the deal. We’re Umadutt Global Construction Llp. Even though the name sounds a bit big, we’re just a local construction outfit. We deal with a lot of rubble, cement, and steel every day. It’s a busy spot to have an office, but it makes things easy for getting materials in and out. The school kids are always running around in the afternoons. We try to keep things organized, but construction is messy work by nature. Some days we are dealing with suppliers, other days we are just trying to fix a machine that broke down. It’s a hands-on kind of business. We don't have a receptionist or anything fancy like that. Usually, one of us is just sitting at the desk handling the phone calls while the others are out. It gets pretty hot in the office during the afternoon, but we have a fan. We’ve been in this area for a while now and we like being near the market. You can find anything you need within walking distance. We just keep doing our thing, day in and day out. It’s a bit of a trek if you’re coming from the other side of town, but once you’re in Paltan Bazar, it’s easy. We don't have fancy brochures. We just talk to folks directly.
