Om Logistics Ltd

Our office for Om Logistics Ltd is up in Shillong, Meghalaya. We are situated at the Road Morollow Compus. If you know the area, you know the weather can be quite unpredictable with a lot of rain and mist. This makes the logistics business a bit tricky sometimes. Driving on these hilly roads is not like driving on the plains. We have to be really careful with the timing of our trucks. The office itself is quite simple and fits in with the surroundings. We spend a lot of time on the phone with drivers who are navigating the winding roads to get here. It’s a small team we have here, and we all know each other well. There’s a lot of paperwork involved in moving goods across state lines, so our desks are usually covered in forms and logs. We don't have a fancy lobby or anything. It’s mostly just a place for us to coordinate the transport and make sure nothing gets stuck on the way. The air is fresh up here, which is a nice change from the dusty hubs in other cities. Sometimes the trucks get delayed because of landslides or heavy fog, and we just have to manage as it happens. We focus on the daily grind of checking manifests and making sure things are loaded correctly. It’s a steady job and we try to do it right without making a big fuss about things.
