We are Meghalayan Medical Drugs and Serviceslimited. You can find us at the office of the Mission Director over in Laitumkhrah. We are in the New Colony area of Shillong. This place is pretty central for East Khasi Hills. We deal with medical supplies and services for the region. It’s not a retail shop or anything; it’s more of an administrative and service-oriented setup. We work with the health departments and keep things moving. Shillong can be a bit cold and rainy, but we stay busy regardless of the weather. Our office is right there in the DHs building. We spend most of our time looking at lists of drugs and making sure services are where they need to be. It’s a lot of paperwork and phone calls. We don’t have a flashy storefront. People who need us usually know where we are. We've been operating out of Laitumkhrah for a good bit now. It’s a nice neighborhood with a lot of history. We are just one part of the bigger medical picture in Meghalaya. We don’t try to be anything we aren't. We just focus on getting the supplies and services organized. Sometimes the logistics are a headache, especially with the hills, but we manage. Our staff knows the area well. We just keep our heads down and get the work done every day. It's an important job and we take it seriously even if the office is a bit crowded sometimes.
