Manan Fruit Products

Up here in Shillong, you’ll find us at the Mission Compound. Manan Fruit Products has been part of this neighborhood for quite a while. It’s a beautiful place to work, even if it gets a bit rainy and damp sometimes during the monsoon. We deal with a lot of different fruits, processing them into products that people seem to enjoy. The air here always smells like whatever we are working on that day. It’s not a massive factory. It’s more of a local operation where everyone knows each other’s names and families. We spend a lot of time sorting through the harvest and making sure only the good stuff gets used. The Mission Compound area is relatively quiet compared to the main market, which is nice for us. We have a few rooms dedicated to the cooking and packing. Sometimes the power goes out, and we have to wait it out with some tea, but that’s just life in the hills. We don't have a marketing team or a fancy website. We just rely on the work we do. People in the area know us, and we’ve been at this for years. It’s hard work, especially during the peak fruit seasons when everything ripens at once. Then it’s all hands on deck until late in the evening. We keep our tools clean and our jars ready. It’s a simple life at Manan Fruit Products, focusing on the basics of fruit processing. We don't have any corporate managers, just the people who do the work every day.
