Dee & Dee Breweries Private Limited

Dee & Dee Breweries Private Limited is located in the Marbaniang Building over in Laitumkhrah. We are up in the Lummawrie area of Shillong, which is a pretty nice part of the East Khasi Hills. It’s often raining or misty outside, so being inside the building working on the brewery side of things is where we spend most of our time. It is a local business and we don't try to pretend to be some giant international brand. We just focus on making our beverages right here in Meghalaya. The building is a familiar landmark for people who live around Laitumkhrah. We have our equipment set up and we follow a pretty regular routine every day. It involves a lot of cleaning and checking the vats. Brewing is a slow process, so you can't really rush it even if you wanted to. We don't have a lot of fancy offices; most of the space is taken up by the actual production and storage. We just talk to our customers and suppliers directly without any middleman or marketing talk. It is a straightforward operation. We enjoy the work and the fact that we can do it here in Shillong. Sometimes the traffic in Laitumkhrah makes deliveries a bit slow, but we just manage it as it comes. It is a practical, local way of doing things that works for us and our neighbors.
