City Lite

City Lite is our little place on GS Road in the Iewduh area of Shillong. If you know Shillong at all, you know how packed and lively Iewduh can be. It’s the heart of the market, and there is always something happening. We’ve been here for a while, right in the middle of all the noise and action. The shop isn't huge, but we make use of every bit of space we have on the shelves. We sell various items that people need for their homes and daily lives. It’s the kind of place where you can find a bit of everything if you take the time to look around. The shelves are pretty full and sometimes things get a bit crowded, but we know where everything is kept. We don’t have a big corporate team or fancy lighting to show off the goods. It’s just us working the counter every single day. We see hundreds of different people walking past on GS Road. Some stop in for a quick chat or to buy something they forgot to pick up earlier. We try to keep our prices where they should be so the local folks can afford what they need. It’s a busy life, opening early and staying until the market finally starts to quiet down in the evening. We don’t do much online; we much prefer to talk to our customers face to face. It’s more personal that way. If you are navigating the crowds in Iewduh, you’ll probably see our sign.
