Bethany Hospital

Being up here on Nongrim Hill gives Bethany Hospital a bit of a different feel compared to being right in the middle of a crowded city center. It’s still busy, of course, but the surroundings are a bit more relaxed. We have our main entrance right on the hill, and you’ll see people walking up and down all day. The staff here mostly lives nearby, so there’s a local vibe to the place. We start our routines early, usually before the sun is fully up, getting the wards ready and checking the overnight charts. The building itself is sturdy and has seen plenty of patients come and go over the seasons. We have different sections for different needs, and sometimes it feels like a bit of a maze if you aren't used to it. The windows look out over the area, and on clear days, it’s actually a nice view, though we don’t have much time to sit and look. Mostly, we are busy answering phones, helping people find their way to various departments, and keeping things tidy. It gets cold sometimes, so we make sure everyone is bundled up. It’s a straightforward operation. We don’t use a lot of big words to describe what we do. We just open the doors, handle the appointments, and try to make sure everyone gets what they came for. Nongrim Hill is a good spot for us, and we’ve become part of the daily scenery for the folks living around here.
