Our factory is located at Mynkree, right at the 116 Km stone on National Highway 44. It’s in the Lumshnong area of the Jaintia Hills. Being on the highway makes it easier for the trucks, but it’s still a rugged part of the world to work in. We focus on cement. It’s a busy operation because the NH-44 is a main artery for transport. You can’t miss us if you’re driving through Khelerihat. The landscape around here is pretty dramatic, with lots of hills and trees. We are a small team, mostly just local people. We don’t have a big corporate office in the city. Everything happens right here at the site. The work is dusty and loud, but that’s how you make cement. We spend a lot of time monitoring the machines and talking to the drivers. Sometimes the power goes out or a machine needs a new part from far away, and those are the bad days. But mostly, we just keep the production line moving. We don't have any marketing experts telling us what to say to people. We just tell customers we have cement and we can get it to them. It’s a simple life out here in the Jaintia Hills. We’re just trying to do a good job and keep the business running for the long haul. It is not always easy, but we have been doing it for some time now.
