Raja Ice Parlour

You can find Raja Ice Parlour at 22-16-49, Mavulamma Temple Road. We are right in the heart of the Sunday Market area, very close to the Mavullama Temple. This whole area gets incredibly busy, especially on market days when the streets are full of people buying vegetables and clothes. We’ve been serving ice cream here for a long time. The shop is simple, with some benches for people to sit on if they want to take a break from the sun. The floor is made of old stone that stays relatively cool. We don’t have any fancy decorations or a modern design. It’s just a place with a few freezers and a menu board that we update by hand. Sometimes the noise from the market is so loud we have to shout a bit to hear the orders, but it’s a good kind of energy. We get all sorts of people coming in—families after a temple visit, kids from the market, and older folks who just want something sweet. We handle everything ourselves, from cleaning the floors to restocking the tubs. It’s hard work when the weather is hot, but we’re used to it. We don’t pretend to be a big chain. We are just a local parlour that’s been part of this street for years and we plan to stay right here where the action is.
