Oak Wood English Medium School

You can find us right behind the Lela Toyota show room in Rajahmundry. It’s a handy landmark because everyone knows where the car place is. Our school is a bit tucked away, which is actually nice because it keeps the street noise down a little bit. We have a modest building where the students spend their day. It’s an English medium school, so we spend a lot of time working on language and books. We don't have a big budget for fancy decorations or glossy signs. Most of our walls are covered in student projects and old maps. The staff is just a group of people who have been working in education for a long time. We start early in the morning, getting the classrooms ready before the kids arrive. It is a lot of routine work, like checking attendance and making sure the lunches are organized. We don't have a formal mission statement written on the wall; we just show up and do the work. The building can get a bit stuffy in the summer, but we keep the windows open for the breeze. Rajahmundry is a busy city, and we are just one small part of it. We like the fact that we know our students well and we don't treat the school like a business office. It’s just a place for learning. The bell rings at the same time every day and we start again.
