Dharmasthapana A Vijay Nandan Foundation

People around Lingamparthi know us well enough by now, mostly because we’re always hanging around Vetsa Vari Street. The foundation, if you want to call it that, runs out of D.No: 4-133. It’s just a regular house really, nothing that stands out if you’re just passing through. We started this because Vijay Nandan wanted to see some real changes in our part of East Godavari. Yeleswaram is a nice place, but like anywhere else, it has its fair share of problems that don't get fixed unless someone steps up. We focus on the simple things, like helping a neighbor fix a roof or making sure the older folks have someone to check on them. It’s dusty work sometimes, and the heat in Andhra Pradesh doesn’t make it any easier, but we’re used to it. We don't have a big staff, just some local volunteers who have a bit of free time after their own jobs are done. You’ll find us talking to the shopkeepers or sitting near the street corner. We don’t have brochures or anything like that. If someone needs help, they usually just walk up to the door and knock. That’s how it’s always been here. It’s about being part of the community and not some distant group in a city office. We just do what we can with the little we have, day by day. It is not always perfect, but we try our best to stay helpful for everyone.
