Cana Water

If you walk down Market Road in Ravulapalem, you will find us at 6-9-652. It is a noisy spot, right in the thick of things. Cana Water is basically just a few rooms where we manage the logistics of getting clean water to whoever needs it. Early mornings are the hardest part of the day here. The market starts humming way before sunrise, and we are usually there unloading things or checking the machinery while the tea shops nearby are just opening up. The dust from the road gets everywhere, so we are constantly wiping down the desks and the equipment. It’s a simple setup. We don't use big computers for everything; mostly it is just pen and paper and a lot of phone calls. Sometimes the phone doesn't stop ringing and other times it’s dead quiet. We have a couple of guys who handle the heavy lifting, and they’ve been with us for a long time. They know the shortcuts through Ravulapalem better than anyone. We don't do much in the way of advertising. Most people just see the address on Market Road and walk in. The building itself is nothing special, just a practical space for a practical job. We deal with a lot of different people every day, from shopkeepers to families, and every day feels a bit different depending on how hot it is outside or if it is a market day. It is a lot of work but it is what we know.
