Balaji Dental Clinic

Balaji Dental Clinic is tucked away on the Main Road in Mandapeta, right near the bus stand. Being so close to the station means there is always a lot of movement outside. You can hear the buses pulling in and out all day long. It makes the clinic easy to find, though, even for people coming from the smaller villages nearby. We spend our mornings setting things up and making sure everything is ready for whoever walks through the door. Sometimes it’s a farmer who had a long trip and has a bad tooth, and other times it’s someone who lives just a few houses down. The place isn't very big. We have a small area where people wait and the main room where the work happens. We don't use big words or try to act like we're in a big city hospital. We just talk to people like neighbors. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait a bit, but that’s just how things go here in Mandapeta. We handle a lot of extractions and cleanings. People often come in late in the day after they finish their own work. We stay open until the last person is taken care of. It’s a lot of standing on our feet and looking at teeth, but it’s what we do. The walls could probably use a new coat of paint soon, but for now, we just focus on the patients and the daily tasks.
