Ranga Sign Factory

Ranga Sign Factory is up on the first floor of the Choday Apparao Building, right at the Bhanugudi Junction in Kakinada. It’s a very busy intersection, so there is always a lot of activity right outside. Being on the first floor at number 78 gives us a bit of a view of the junction, though we don't spend much time looking out the window. Most of our day is spent at the workbenches or dealing with customers who climb the stairs to see us. We make all kinds of signs for shops and offices. The workshop isn't very large, so we have to be organized with how we store the materials like acrylic sheets and metal frames. It can get pretty hot in the afternoons, but we just keep the fans going and get on with the work. We don't do a lot of advertising. Most people in Kakinada know the Bhanugudi Junction, so they find us easily enough. We aren't a big corporate factory despite the name; it’s more of a small team doing the heavy lifting. We take orders, do the cutting and assembly, and then wait for the customers to pick them up. Sometimes we go out to help with the installation if it’s a big sign. It’s straightforward work. We’ve been here for a good while and have seen many businesses in the area come and go while we just keep making signs.
