Zameer Hasan Foundation

Our place is located at H.No A-45, which is right in the Enclave area. It's a quiet spot compared to the main roads, and we’ve been working out of this house for a while now. Most of the people who help us are just neighbors or friends who wanted to do something good. It’s not like those big NGOs with lots of money. We mostly deal with whatever comes our way during the week. Sometimes the power goes out and we just sit and talk about what needs to happen next. It's a small space, mostly just one room where we keep all the files and a couple of chairs. We don't really have a receptionist or anything. If you knock, someone will eventually come to the door. We spend a lot of time on the phone or walking around the area. It gets hot in the summer, but we have a small fan that works okay. People know us as the Zameer Hasan Foundation, but really we are just a small group of folks trying to make things a bit easier for the community. It’s hard work and the progress is slow. We don't make a big deal about it. We just show up and do the chores. Lately, we've been trying to organize the back room better because the piles of donations are getting a bit out of hand. It's a good problem to have, I suppose. We like it here in the Enclave. It feels like home.
