Young Sports Foundation

Young Sports Foundation is based at House No 2, Samaspur Jagir, Patparganj, in East Delhi. Our place is usually filled with gear and old equipment piled up in the corners. It’s not a shiny gym or a professional stadium office. It’s just a house where we coordinate sports activities for the local kids. Sometimes the noise gets a bit much for the neighbors, but they’re mostly used to us by now. We spend our weekends out on whatever fields are open in East Delhi. We don't have a lot of money, so we make do with what we’ve got. Sometimes the balls need pumping or the nets are torn, and we just fix them ourselves. It’s a very hands-on operation. There are only a few of us running the whole thing. We handle the sign-ups, the coaching, and even the cleaning up after. We aren't doing this for the glory or to be famous. We just like sports and think kids should have something to do. The office at Samaspur Jagir is where we store all the paperwork and the trophies we’ve managed to collect over the years. It’s a bit disorganized, to be honest. We’re better at coaching than we are at filing. We just keep showing up because we know the kids expect us to be there. It’s a lot of work, but we enjoy the routine of it all.
