Yashmarg Foundation

The Yashmarg Foundation is up on the third floor of H-59/A in Garhwali Mohalla, which is in the Laxmi Nagar area. It’s Gali number 2, and like most streets in this part of Delhi, it can get pretty crowded with bikes and people walking by at all hours. Climbing three flights of stairs every day keeps us fit, I guess. We chose the name Yashmarg because it means a path of success, and we try to live up to that in our own small way. The office is just a regular apartment that we turned into a workspace. It’s got a bit of a view of the rooftops around us, which is nice when you need a break from the computer. We don’t have a lot of fancy equipment—just some tables, a laptop, and a lot of passion for what we do. We mostly focus on helping people find their way, whether it’s with their education or just general life advice. Laxmi Nagar is full of students and workers, so there is always someone looking for help. We aren't corporate people at all. We wear regular clothes and talk to everyone like they are our neighbors, because they usually are. It gets a bit hot in the summer since we are right under the roof, but we have a fan and some cold water, so we manage to get through the day. It’s a humble place, but we do good things.
