We operate out of U-158 on the first floor of the Vats Complex. It’s right on the main Vikas Marg in Shakarpur, so it’s easy to find but hard to breathe sometimes with all the exhaust from the cars. The office is a bit of a climb up the stairs. Once you’re inside, you’ll see shelves lined with different cans of oil and grease. It’s got that specific smell of lubricants that stays on your clothes. We spend most of our time talking to mechanics or factory owners who need specific types of oil for their machines. It’s not the kind of place where you wear a suit. We’re usually in practical clothes because things get messy. The fan in the corner hums all day to keep the air moving, but it’s still pretty warm in the summer months. We keep a ledger for the regulars who stop by for a few liters of this or that. Vikas Marg is a hectic place to be, and the noise from the traffic comes right through the glass. We’ve thought about moving to a quieter spot, but being right here in Shakarpur is too convenient for the local shops. It’s just a straightforward business where we sell what’s on the shelf and try to keep the inventory from getting too disorganized. There's always a stack of empty crates near the door that we need to return.
