Vidyut Kala Kendra

You can find Vidyut Kala Kendra right in the Main Bazar of Lakshmi Nagar, at H 13/3. Being in the bazaar means it’s always lively outside our door. There’s the sound of the market and people shouting, but we’ve gotten used to it. Inside, it’s a bit different. We use the space for various activities. It’s not a very big place, just a couple of main rooms. We have some stuff stored in the corners and some chairs that we move around depending on what’s happening that day. We’ve been at this spot for quite a few years now. The front door is a little sticky in the rainy season. Most people in the neighborhood know where we are because they walk past us to go to the market. We don’t do much advertising. People just hear about us from their friends or neighbors. It’s a bit cramped when we have a full house, but we make it work. We spend a lot of time just keeping the place tidy. There’s always someone here, usually one of the regulars. It’s a very local kind of place. We don’t have fancy uniforms or a big sign. Just the name on the wall. It’s just a spot for people to come together and do their thing in the heart of the bazaar. We try to keep things simple and honest for everyone.
