We’re up on the first floor at F-260/A in Laxmi Nagar. If you’ve ever been to this part of New Delhi, you know how crowded the streets get with all the shops and people. Our office is a modest space, nothing too special to look at, just desks and a lot of papers. We do consulting work, which basically means we spend our days talking to people and trying to figure out their problems. It can be a bit hectic when several people show up at once, and the noise from the street below always drifts up through the windows. We’ve been in this building for some time. The stairs are a bit steep, but we’re used to them by now. We don’t have a big staff, just a few of us who know the ropes. Most of our day is spent on the phone or working on the computer. We don’t go for those big flashy presentations you see on TV. We just sit down with whoever comes in and see what needs to be done. Laxmi Nagar is a good place for us because everything is nearby, even if the parking is a nightmare. We keep our files organized, or try to at least, and we make sure the tea kettle is always ready. It’s a decent way to make a living in the city. There isn't much more to it than that.
