Swarnimasha Foundation

We are located at C-153 on the ground floor in Surajmal Vihar. Being on the ground floor is great because we don't have to deal with elevators or long flights of stairs, and it makes it easier for people to just walk in. Surajmal Vihar is a nice area, fairly clean and organized compared to some other parts of the city. Our office is a simple setup. We have a few desks, a couple of filing cabinets, and a water cooler that makes a loud bubbling sound every few minutes. We do foundation work, which mostly means we spend our time on the phone or writing letters. It isn't a glamorous job, but we stay busy. There is a small garden area in front of the building where some flowers grow, and it’s a nice place to sit for a minute. The walls are painted a dull off-white color, and we have some old calendars hanging up. We don't have a professional cleaning crew, so we usually take turns sweeping the floor ourselves. It’s a very informal atmosphere. Neighbors often stop by to say hello or ask what we are working on. We try to keep things straightforward and honest. There isn't any corporate jargon here, just people trying to do their daily tasks as best as they can. Most days we leave around six, unless there is a lot of extra work to catch up on. It is a quiet place that allows us to get things done without too much trouble.
