We operate out of C-59 in Takshila Apartment, which is over in Patparganj. It’s a bit different running a business like Svmi Home Private Limited from an apartment building, but it works for us. It feels more personal this way. We don’t have a huge sign outside or a fancy entrance. It’s just a regular door in a residential block. Inside, we’ve converted the space to handle our daily work. There are files on the dining table and samples in the spare room. It can get a bit cluttered when we are busy, but we manage. The building has its own rhythm, with neighbors coming and going, and we try to keep our noise down. Most of our work is done over the phone or on the computer, so it’s not like we have heavy machinery. We deal with home-related goods, so being in a home setting actually makes a bit of sense. We don’t use any corporate jargon or have big meetings about goals. We just wake up, start working, and try to get through the list of things to do. Sometimes the lift isn't working, and we have to carry boxes up the stairs, which isn't fun, but you just do it. It’s a simple, local way of doing things, and it keeps us grounded in the community here. We are just regular people working hard in a regular apartment.
