Sunhare Pankh Foundation

Sunhare Pankh Foundation is located over in Shakarpur at WB- 75 A. We are up on the upper second floor, so there are quite a few stairs to climb every day. It’s good exercise, though it can be a bit much when it’s hot outside. The office itself is pretty modest. We have just enough room for our desks and a small area for guests to sit. Shakarpur is a crowded neighborhood, so there is always something going on outside our window. You can hear the sounds of the market and the cars honking all day. It’s not a quiet place, but it has a lot of energy. We don’t have any fancy decorations on the walls. It’s mostly just calendars and notes pinned up everywhere. We’ve been in this spot for a while now and it’s become our second home. Most of our work is just day-to-day tasks, keeping things organized and answering the phone. We don’t have a big staff, so everyone helps out with everything, even cleaning up or making tea. Sometimes the internet is slow or the printer acts up, but we just make do. We like being here because everything we need is right around the corner. It’s a simple, local office where we just focus on the work at hand without trying to be something we’re not. It’s a bit cramped sometimes, but it’s our space where we get things done at our own pace.
