Sr.Architect

Down here in Delhi 110092, we’ve got our little workspace set up. People call it Sr.Architect, though it’s really just a couple of us working on drawings and plans most of the day. We aren't one of those massive firms with glass walls and expensive coffee machines. Our desks are usually covered in blueprints and half-finished sketches and a few old pens that barely work. We’ve been in this part of town for a good bit now. Sometimes the traffic outside is loud and distracting, but you get used to it after a while. We spend a lot of time looking at measurements and trying to figure out how to make things fit where they’re supposed to go. It’s practical work. We don't use a lot of big words to describe what we do here. If a wall needs to be there, we draw it there. The computers are a few years old but they still run the software we need. It gets really dusty in the summer, especially with the windows open to catch a breeze. We just keep our heads down and focus on the projects at hand. It’s a quiet life mostly. We don't have a receptionist, so if someone knocks, one of us just gets up to see who it is. We’re just trying to do decent work here in the city. Nothing fancy, just architecture and some hard work. It's how we've always done things here in Delhi.
