South Asia Gender Foundation

We are over at #1092 in Sector-13. It’s a pretty standard spot and we’ve been here for a good amount of time. The South Asia Gender Foundation is just a group of us trying to work on things that matter to the community. We don't have a big corporate office with glass walls or a receptionist. It’s more like a regular house or apartment where we’ve set up some desks and computers. Sector-13 is a decent place to be, fairly quiet compared to the main roads and the markets. We spend our mornings going through emails and then the afternoons are usually for meeting people who drop by. Sometimes we have meetings that go on way too long because everyone has so much to say and we don't want to cut them off. We don't have a strict dress code or anything fancy like that. Most days you’ll find us in casual clothes just trying to get through the to-do list for the week. The neighbors are nice and they don't mind us being here. We try to keep things low-key. We aren't out there making big speeches or trying to get on the news. We just focus on the work we have in front of us. It’s a lot of reading and talking and trying to understand different perspectives. We have a small kitchen area where we make coffee and sometimes we bring in snacks to share during our breaks.
