Smile Shelter Foundation

Smile Shelter Foundation is up on the second floor at A-1247, right near Aggarwal Sweets in GD Colony. Being near the sweet shop makes it easy for people to find us, which is helpful. We are just a small group of people in Mayur Vihar Phase III. We didn’t start this to get famous or make a lot of money. We just saw that there were folks who needed a bit of extra help and we had the space to do something about it. The office is a bit cramped sometimes with all the stuff we have lying around, but we make it work. We aren't very polished and we don't use big words to describe what we do. We just help. It might be something small one day or something bigger the next. We listen to the people who come in and try to see where we can fit in. It’s a lot of trial and error, honestly. We learn something new almost every week. Our neighbors are good people and they help us out too. We’ve been at this for a bit now, and while we aren't perfect, we try our best to stay consistent. It’s just how we were raised, to look out for each other. If you’re getting sweets nearby, you might see our sign upstairs. That’s where we are, just doing the daily work and keeping things moving.
