Our Dilshad Garden location is in Pocket D, Flat 546. It’s more of a residential-style office, which makes it feel a bit more relaxed than a big corporate building. We handle a lot of the northern Delhi infrastructure projects for Simplex Infrastructure Ltd. from here. It’s a bit of a climb to get to the flat, but it’s a good spot to sit down and work through the project costs. We have a lot of paper everywhere—invoices, site photos, and schedules. It’s not a showroom. It’s where the actual planning happens. We spend our days talking to contractors and checking on material deliveries. The neighborhood is quiet enough, which helps when we need to focus on the numbers. We’ve been here in Delhi-110095 for a few years now. Most of the people working here live just a few blocks away. We treat each other more like neighbors than coworkers. We don't have any slogans or polished mission statements. We just show up, do the engineering work, and go home. Sometimes we stay late to finish a bid or a report. It’s just a normal job with its own set of challenges. We focus on getting the structures built without any accidents. It’s a very practical, no-nonsense kind of place. We keep the kettle going for tea throughout the afternoon. It helps everyone stay sharp when looking at the spreadsheets. The computers are old but they still work.
