Shyama Pyari Sewa Foundation

Our office is at E-29-B in the Janta Garden area of Pandav Nagar. It’s located on the second floor, so we get a little bit of a breeze if we leave the windows open in the afternoon. Pandav Nagar can be a bit of a maze if you don't know your way around the streets, but we’ve grown to like the narrow lanes over time. We’ve been here in East Delhi 110091 for quite a while now. The space itself is just a regular room that we’ve turned into a little workspace. We have some old wooden tables and a couple of computers that have definitely seen better days. It’s a very informal environment for us. We often sit together and talk about the next day's schedule over a cup of tea from the shop downstairs. There’s no strict dress code or anything like that, we just wear what’s comfortable for the weather. The building is a bit older, so the stairs are a little steep for some, but it keeps us moving. We know the people living in the units around us fairly well, and they are good, hardworking folks. It’s a very community-oriented place to be. We spend a lot of time just organizing our records and making sure everything is in its right place. We don’t have a big marketing budget or a fancy website to show off, we just rely on people finding us here by word of mouth. It’s a humble way to work, but it really suits us just fine.
