Shama Clinic Center

Our clinic, Shama Clinic Center, is up on the second floor of a building in Vikas Puri, specifically in the Laxmi Nagar area of New Delhi. You have to walk up the stairs to 201-202 to find us. It’s a busy part of town, so there is always a lot of noise coming up from the street below. Delhi is always dusty and loud, and our little stretch of Laxmi Nagar is no different. Inside, we have a simple setup with a couple of consultation rooms and a small area where people can sit. The paint on the walls is a little dull now, but it’s clean. We see a lot of people who work in the nearby shops or live in the apartments around Vikas Puri. Most of the time, it’s just the usual stuff like fevers or minor injuries that bring people through the door. We try to keep the wait times down, but some days it just gets crowded and everyone has to be patient. We have a small water cooler in the corner that gets a lot of use during the summer months. There is no corporate office behind us, just a few of us trying to keep the clinic running six days a week. We don’t have fancy uniforms or a big reception desk, just a wooden table and some chairs. It’s just a regular neighborhood clinic for regular people.
