Shakti Medical Centre

Shakti Medical Centre is right on the Main Road in Kailash Nagar. It’s a straightforward location that most people in this part of Delhi know about. We don't have a complicated address, just the main road. The clinic is a small operation, mostly just focused on basic medical care for the neighborhood. When it’s summer, the place can get pretty hot, so we have a couple of big fans going all the time. The noise from the traffic outside is a constant background sound, but after a while, you don't even notice the horns and the engines anymore. We see a lot of the same faces every month, people coming in for their regular medicine or just a quick checkup. I handle most of the paperwork myself, and it’s usually piled up on the edge of the desk. We don't have a computer system that does everything for us, so there’s a lot of writing things down by hand in big registers. It feels more personal that way, I think. The walls are a simple off-white, and we have some old chairs for the patients. There’s no fancy waiting room with television or music. People just sit and wait their turn, talking to each other or looking at their phones. It’s a humble place, and we just try to do our bit for the community here in Kailash Nagar without any fuss. It’s a long day sometimes, but it’s worth it.
