Sanjay Printers & Publishers (P) Ltd. is over at 180, F.I.E. Patparganj. We’re pretty close to the Anand Vihar Bus Terminal, so there’s always a lot of traffic and people moving about. The smell of ink is the first thing you notice when you walk into our place. We’ve got several printing presses running most of the day. It’s noisy, and you have to raise your voice to be heard sometimes. We handle all sorts of jobs, from small pamphlets to bigger books. There are stacks of paper everywhere you look—some blank, some half-printed. Our floors usually have a few ink stains, no matter how much we scrub them. We’ve been in the printing business for a long time and seen how things have changed from old plates to digital stuff. We still use some of the older machines because they just work better for certain jobs we get. The staff here has been around for ages; we’re like a small family working together. We don't have a fancy showroom for people to sit in. It's a working shop through and through. If you come by, you’ll probably see us checking the alignment on a press or boxing up finished orders for delivery. It’s busy and often a bit chaotic, but we always manage to get the books out on time. We don’t make a big deal of it; we just get the printing done and keep moving forward with the next job.
