Saksham Care Foundation

We are Saksham Care Foundation, and you can find us at E-117/55 in Sunder Nagari. This is over in North East Delhi. It’s a very busy neighborhood with a lot of narrow lanes and people everywhere. Our office is just a small spot on one of those streets. It’s not the easiest place to find if you aren't from around here, but the locals know where we are. We focus on care work, which usually means we are out in the community more than we are sitting behind our desks. When we are in the office, it’s mostly to coordinate who is going where and what they need to take with them. The space is a bit cluttered with supplies and donation boxes. We don’t have a lot of extra room, so we have to stay organized. It’s often noisy outside with kids playing and street vendors calling out, but that’s just the atmosphere of Sunder Nagari. We don’t have any fancy titles or a strict hierarchy. Everyone just chips in and does what’s needed for the day. We started this foundation because we saw people struggling and realized we could offer some support. It’s not a big corporate thing. It’s just us, working in our own neighborhood, trying to make things a little bit easier for the families living nearby. We do what we can with what we've got. Sometimes we have to move the desks around just to fit everyone in.
