Sahyog Maa Bharti Foundation

Sahyog Maa Bharti Foundation is located over in Mayur Vihar Phase-1. If you know the area, we are in Pocket-4, House Number 29-E. It is a pretty quiet residential pocket, which helps when we need to sit down and focus on our work. The foundation has been around this neighborhood for a while. We aren't a big team with a fancy office building or anything like that. It’s more of a home-grown setup where we handle everything ourselves. Some mornings are quiet, others are just full of phone calls and sorting out files. Mayur Vihar is a good place to be based because it is well connected. We usually just walk to the office or take a quick rickshaw. There’s no big PR team writing our stuff, just us. We deal with the day-to-day things as they come up. Sometimes the internet is slow or the power goes out, but we just keep at it. It’s practical work. We spend a lot of time talking to folks in the area and trying to be useful where we can. It’s not always glamorous work, but it feels right to be doing it from a regular house in a regular street. We’re just local people trying to stay busy with the foundation. Most days, you’ll find one of us here making tea and going through the mail. It is a simple life and we just do our part without any extra noise.
