Our little setup is based at C 71 in the Retreat Apartment complex over in East Delhi. Being inside a residential area like this means we mostly deal with the families living right here. It’s a bit different from having a shop on a main commercial road. It’s quieter and we know almost everyone who walks in. We’ve been operating from this spot for quite some time. The space is a bit limited, so we have to be very careful about what we bring in. We don’t have room for fluff or things people don't actually use. It’s just the essentials. We aren't trying to impress anyone with fancy displays or marketing gimmicks. We just open up, check the inventory, and help out the neighbors. Sometimes the kids from the apartments come in for snacks, and other times it's parents looking for something they forgot for dinner. It’s a very local vibe. We don't have a big corporate hierarchy here; it's just a couple of us managing the day-to-day. Delhi can be chaotic, but back here in the apartment complex, things feel a bit more relaxed. We like being part of the daily lives of the people here. It’s a steady job and we try to do it honestly. There’s no need for big speeches about what we do. We’re just the shop at the corner of the block, doing our best for the folks nearby.
