Raed India Foundation

We are based in Laxmi Nagar, right on Vikas Marg in those shops on the second floor. It’s a busy area and we've been here a while now. Raed India Foundation started because we saw things in the community that needed doing. It isn't a big fancy office, just shop numbers 209 to 211 where we keep our files and meet people. Most days, you'll find a couple of us sitting here working through paperwork or talking to locals who drop by. We don't have a giant team, just some folks who care about what's happening around us. The stairs up to the second floor are a bit steep but once you're inside, it’s quiet enough to get things done. We try to keep things simple. Dealing with the day-to-day stuff keeps us pretty occupied. Sometimes the electricity cuts out for a bit, but we manage. We aren't trying to change the whole world overnight, just focusing on what we can do from this corner of Delhi. If you are walking down Vikas Marg, you might miss us if you aren't looking closely at the signs on the building. We spend a lot of time just organizing and trying to be useful where it counts. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy from morning until evening. We hope to stay in this spot for a long time. It feels like home to us now and the people around here are good.
