Radivine Art House Private Limited is tucked away in Lane No. 04 at J78, right on the first floor in Laxmi Nagar. If you know East Delhi, you know how these lanes can be—a bit tight and always full of people moving around. We’ve been here for a while now, surrounded by the usual noise of the city. Inside, it’s a bit different. We deal with art and creative things, so there’s usually some paint or sketches lying around the tables. It isn’t a pristine gallery. It’s more of a place where things actually get made. Sometimes the floor is messy, and the trash can is overflowing with paper scraps. We don’t mind. We aren't a big corporation with a board of directors. It's just a few of us who like making things. We get to work around nine and usually stay late if a project needs finishing. The light in Laxmi Nagar is okay, but we have to use lamps mostly. People stop by sometimes just to see what we’re up to. We don't have a big marketing plan or anything like that. We just do the work and hope it looks right when it’s finished. It’s a simple life here in the art house. We’ve been at this spot long enough that the tea seller downstairs knows exactly what we want. It feels like home, in a way. The doorbell sticks sometimes, so you have to push it hard.
