Our place is tucked away in Mandawali, over in the Fazalpur area. It’s a pretty simple setup where we spend most of our time dealing with wax and wicks. The smell of the shop is usually the first thing people notice before they even see the sign. It’s not a huge operation. We mostly just work on orders as they come in. The heat from the melting pots makes it a bit warm in the summer, but we’re used to it by now. We’ve been at this address for a bit and the local folks know us. It’s just a practical space for making candles. There isn't a fancy showroom or anything. We have some shelves with finished stuff and a lot of boxes waiting to go out. Sometimes we run out of a specific scent and have to wait for supplies to show up on the truck. It’s a bit of a process, getting the temperature right and making sure everything sets properly. We don’t have a big team, just a couple of us doing the pouring and packing. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy. We don’t spend much time on the computer or doing paperwork if we can help it. We’d rather be at the table working. Sometimes people ask why we don't move to a bigger place, but we like it here in Mandawali. It's got everything we need. We've got a small radio that plays in the corner while we work to keep the silence away.
