Working out of the Patparganj Industrial Area means we are surrounded by a lot of warehouses and factories. Our building is number 194 and it is a straightforward place for a communications business. It is not the kind of area where people go for a stroll but it works well for us because we have plenty of space to set up our equipment. The neighborhood is full of trucks and people moving goods around so there is a constant hum of activity outside. Inside our office it is mostly quiet except for the sound of keyboards and the occasional phone ringing. We have a few rooms partitioned off but mostly it is just one big space where we all sit. The air conditioning works most of the time which is a relief during the hot months in East Delhi. We have been here for a while and have gotten to know the people in the neighboring units. We don’t do anything fancy for the interior. It is just white walls and grey desks with enough chairs for everyone. We handle a lot of different communication projects and the days go by pretty fast when we are busy. We usually bring our own lunch or get something from the small shops near the entrance of the industrial estate. It is a no-nonsense environment and that is exactly how we like to keep things while we are working. We just get the jobs done.
