Phulari Foundation

We are over here in Mayur Vihar Phase 3, specifically in Pocket C2, at 67 B. It's just a regular spot where we get together to do what we do. The neighborhood is pretty quiet most days, though the traffic near the main gates can get a bit much during the evenings. We started this place because we saw a lot of things that needed doing around here. It wasn't anything fancy at first, just a few of us sitting in a small room talking about how to help out. Now we spend most of our mornings dealing with whatever comes through the door. Sometimes people just stop by to say hello or ask a question about something they heard. We don't have a big fancy office with glass walls or anything like that. It’s just a practical space where the fan makes a bit of noise and the tea is usually hot. Most of the people working here live nearby, so we walk or take a cycle rickshaw to get in. It makes it easier to understand what's happening in the streets when you actually live on them. We don't spend much time on the computer unless we really have to. Most of the work is just talking to people and trying to figure out solutions for the day-to-day stuff. It gets tiring sometimes, but it feels right to be doing it here in Mayur Vihar where we actually know the people.
